Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate it. You can follow me any way you prefer.

Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

This might surprise you, but I would definitely prefer to have 100′s of mediocre books! Think about it. After a while I would remember every single line of my favorite book. Then, it would no longer be fun. With my mediocre books, I would have a lot of things to complain about, things to laugh at, characters to mentally choke. I’d take what little good I can find in them, then combine them all to make a huge, mega awesome book! Id compile a list called, “The Best of the Mediocre…”. See? It’ll all work out.

Seriously, I don’t like to reread books. I don’t want to ruin a book like I did to some former favorite songs (listening to them over and over again.) Also, I like to read something new. I do want to reread books most of the time, but then I think, “Hey, that could be another new book you’re reading – and that potential new book might even be your new favorite!”. I know, it sounds silly, but I can’t help it!

If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven’t read Science Fiction before…any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?

Sci-Fi? I don’t think I’ve read any! Does the fact that I made it 1/3 of the way through Ender’s Game work? Can I somehow include some urban fantasy? I have read a few pnr books that take place in space, can I get some points for those? I am pretty sure that that one series by Sherilyn Kenyon should count. They were on a real spaceship!

What is the book you are currently ‘pushing’? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read it)

Well the BOOKS that I have been pushing are both by Melina Marchetta (young adult). If you’ve been by the blog before, then you know I mention her at every chance I get. My favorites are On the Jellicoe Road and Finnikin of the Rock. If you’re tired of hearing me talk about the books and want something new (and adult), I read Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole and loved it! Hellloooo charming alpha dude! No really, he was adorably manly!

I’m not reading anything at the moment. I just finished The Iron Duke by Meljean Brooks and enjoyed that! I don’t know what I’m reading next. Probably something in a series since I seem to be going through a PNR kick lately!

In My Mailbox 10 – On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

Every week you post about what books goodies you have received through out that week It can come through the mail, the library, store, gifts, wherever!

This week was a slow week for me. I wasn’t going to post (because I ordered it but it’s not physically here yet) but decided to do it anyway. I only got one book (technically), and it was a book that I have already read and LOVED. It’s On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. You can see my review here. The copy that I read and loved came from the library. I decided to buy the book because I loved it and wanted to loan it to people – so that they may also experience the awesomeness that is Melina Marchetta! She wrote Finnikin of the Rock, which I loved as well – proof.

Question: You ever read a book and LOVE it? Yeah, me too. But did you love the book so much, that when you see negative reviews for it, you actually feel sad? I know I take it personal! Hahaha. I think, “Whyyyyy? Whyyyy? But it’s so good!”.

Waiting on Wednesday – Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

As much as I can’t believe I’m saying it, I am actually waiting on Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles! I shouldn’t even like those books because they are ridiculously ridiculous, yet I do. I smile and smirk when I should be snorting at how crazy it is! But now, I’ll be picking this one up on May 24th and read it in a few hours and wonder why. Why? Why? Why? Oh, who am I kidding? I can’t help it! And we know that scene will be in the book. Umm, where are the parents? :P I see electricity and water – a dangerous combination. Oh my, does this mean the book will be, as well?
